The MP & Silva agency has announced a new executive management structure as part of a move to strengthen its position in the sports media rights market.
Roberto Dalmiglio, who currently serves as group commercial director, will assume the role of chief commercial officer. Dalmiglio will take overall responsibility for the execution of MP & Silva’s strategic priorities and commercial plans.
Dalmiglio will be supported by Roland Nikolaou and Jeroen Oerlemans, who have been named vice-president of global sales and vice-president of global acquisitions, respectively.
Nikolaou was already a member of the MP & Silva sales team while Oerlemans previously worked for the UK division of pay-television broadcaster ESPN.
In addition, Konstantinos Filippas, former vice-president of content at the Greek division of pay-television broadcaster OTE, has been named managing director of Europe. Filippas will oversee the agency’s European operations and manage its sales team in the continent.
The new executive management reshuffle will also lead to Peter Hutton stepping down from his role as joint chief executive officer. During his two years at the agency, Hutton offered strategic advice and worked in various projects around the world. Hutton will now return to the broadcasting industry, MP & Silva said.
MP & Silva added: “This structure reflects the interconnected nature and strategic importance of day-to-day operations, the company’s relationships with its clients and partners, and the international vision of MP & Silva.”
