Bulgarian telecommunications company MTel has confirmed the launch of three new sports channels.
MTel Sport 1, MTel Sport 2 and EDGESport will be available in high definition, with the launch dates staggered over the first quarter of this year.
MTel Sport 1 made its debut on Saturday and will be available for free to subscribers to MTel and Blizoo – the company’s cable-television operator – until March 31. MTel Sport 2 and EDGESport will be available to viewers from March 1 and will also be available for free to subscribers until the end of March.
EDGESport will show extreme sports, while MTel Sport 1 and MTel Sport 2 will show more traditional sports.
The three channels will broadcast more than 250 tournaments and properties per year, including UFC mixed martial arts events and the Nascar stock car-racing series on an exclusive basis.
