MUTV, the in-house television channel of English Premier League football club Manchester United, has commenced broadcasting in high-definition as part of a full brand refresh.
To cater for the new format, the club has invested significantly in new facilities, with brand new studios at its Old Trafford stadium and training complex, as well as new programming and graphic suites constructed to cater for HD broadcast.
As part of the launch, United supporters in the UK and Ireland will have the exclusive opportunity to watch every one of Louis Van Gaal’s first four games in charge as the club’s new coach during the pre-season tour in the United States.
Manchester United’s group managing director, Richard Arnold, said: “The growth of MUTV across the globe has been truly remarkable, and this significant investment shows our on-going commitment to the channel and its subscribers.”
