MVP companies secure Tokyo 2020 broadcast rights in Philippines

A group of Filipino media companies headed up by the chairman of telco PLDT, Manuel V. Pangilinan, have secured the broadcast rights for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics across the country.

Pay-television broadcaster Cignal, free-to-air broadcaster TV5, telco PLDT and its sister company Smart Communications will be responsible for broadcasting the Games in the Philippines, which runs from July 23 to August 8.
