The North American NBA basketball league has signed up a host of regional partners for its new NBA Sundays localised broadcast initiative.
The integrated campaign will allow fans in various regions around the world to access localised coverage of primetime NBA games on Sundays.
Each of these broadcasts will feature customised and localised content such as pre-game, half-time and in-game features tailored to the international viewer. The campaign will comprise broadcast, digital, print and social media activations.
Pay-television broadcaster beIN Sports will deliver the campaign in France, the Middle East and North Africa, while fans in the UK and Ireland can access coverage via pay-television broadcaster BT Sport.
Other partners include pay-television broadcaster Sky Italia in Italy, Danish commercial and pay-television broadcaster TV2 and sub-Saharan pay-television broadcaster SuperSport.
Elsa Memmi, vice-president, global media distribution Europe, Middle East and Africa at the NBA, said: “There is a continuing demand for NBA games in primetime across Europe, Middle East and Africa and NBA Sundays will engage our growing fan base in these regions. Together with our dedicated broadcast and digital partners, this season we are excited to provide access to a weekly primetime game each Sunday that includes content elements specifically produced for our international fans.”
The NBA Sundays campaign will begin this Sunday with the Sacramento Kings against the Los Angeles Clippers.
