Technology companies NextVR and Oculus have struck a partnership to bring live virtual reality events to Oculus Venues, a new app designed to allow people to watch live sporting events, as well as other entertainment events and concerts.
The Oculus Venues app will be available for the new Oculus Go headset and for Gear VR.
The NextVR app is now available for Oculus Go, a standalone headset.
One of the events to be featured will be an International Champions Cup football match, NextVR said.
David Cole, NextVR’s co-founder and chief executive, said: “Venues will satisfy our fans who want to enjoy this type of content on a massively social scale.”
