Czech commercial and pay-television broadcaster Nova has extended its rights deal for the Uefa Europa League club football competition.
Nova has secured rights to the Europa League in the Czech Republic and Slovakia for the three seasons from 2018-19 to 2020-21.
Nova said it will broadcast at least four games per match day, adding that the Europa League is one of the “pillars” of its broadcast schedule due to Czech clubs regularly progressing to the knockout stages of the competition.
First League club Viktoria Plzeň has advanced to the Round of 32 of this season’s Europa League where it will face Serbian SuperLiga team FK Partizan next month.
Team Marketing, Uefa’s exclusive marketing agency for the exploitation of certain media and commercial rights relating to its club competitions, launched a tender for the rights in November.
