The Pakistan Cricket Board governing body has appointed professional services company Ernst & Young to oversee the process of awarding media rights for the national team’s forthcoming ‘home’ series against South Africa and Sri Lanka, according to the Press Trust of India news agency.
The report said that the PCB would launch tenders for the rights to the two series which are taking place in the United Arab Emirates. South Africa and Sri Lanka have refused to tour Pakistan due to security concerns.
The PCB’s long-term rights deal with Indian subcontinent pay-television broadcaster Ten Sports ended earlier this year.
Pakistan is due to face South Africa in two Tests, five One-Day Internationals and two Twenty20 games from October 14 to November 15. Sri Lanka will then arrive in the UAE for two T20s, five ODIs and three Test matches between December 11 and January 20.
