Digital sports media company Perform has agreed a three-year renewal of its mobile and internet clip production partnership with the Premier League, taking in the 2013-14 to 2015-16 seasons of the top division of English football.
Perform has distributed ‘near live’ match highlights and features for the Premier League since 2007 and the fresh deal takes effect from the start of the 2013-14 season, which kicks off this weekend.
Under the agreement, Perform will edit and encode clips from all 380 Premier League matches per season and distribute content to the league’s network of over 40 web and mobile licensees globally.
Additionally, Perform is expanding its service to offer all Premier League licensees a white label mobile and tablet app, which will act as a ‘second screen’ to enhance live-match viewing by utilising match content, live data feeds and full social media integration.
Oliver Slipper, joint chief executive of Perform, said: “We strongly value our relationship with the Premier League and the production service we provide remains a core part of our business and is one that we are committed to developing further.”
