Chinese retail giant Suning has agreed a media and strategic partnership with the German Football League (DFL), according to Kicker.
The German football magazine said the five-year deal is worth €250m ($272m) and was presented to the DFL’s 36 member clubs in the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga at a meeting on March 28.
Kicker added that the deal is set to be formally signed and unveiled in May with Suning set to assume Bundesliga rights for its online streaming subsidiary PPTV. The contract will reportedly commence from the 2018-19 season.
PPTV already holds rights for the English Premier League and Spanish LaLiga, along with the domestic Chinese Super League.
