Premier League ramps up copyright protection

The English Premier League, the top division of football in England, has stepped up its campaign against foreign-based websites offering live streaming of games to UK-based users by seeking a court order forcing internet service providers to block access to a Sweden-based website, according to Sky News.

The Premier League is said to be in the process of requesting the court order that would make ISPs effectively ban their customers from accessing the FirstRow1.eu website.

Sky has written to the UK’s major ISPs to outline its plan.
