UK pay-television broadcaster Premier Sports and Sony Pictures Networks India, formerly known as Multi Screen Media, have acquired rights to the Copa América Centenario, the special edition of the national team football tournament which is being hosted by the United States next month.
Premier Sports, which broadcast last year’s edition of the Copa América, will televise all 32 games from the 2016 tournament, which will run from June 3-26.
SPN has acquired exclusive broadcast and digital rights to the competition in India and the Indian sub-continent territories of Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
The Sony ESPN and Sony ESPN HD channels will televise games and highlights, while Sony Liv will provide livestreaming of all matches.
