The tender for the next cycle of rights to the Pro League, the top division of Belgian football, will enter a second phase after no clear winners emerged in the first round, which concluded on Thursday.
At the league’s general assembly on Friday, chief executive Ludwig Sneyers said that the MP & Silva agency, the league’s media-rights adviser, would assist in further talks with ‘several parties’ during the second phase.
“There was great interest from operators, both national and international,” Sneyers said.
The tender was launched on April 28 and the six packages of rights on the market will run for three seasons, from 2014-15 to 2016-17.
