State broadcaster Rai has acquired exclusive rights in Italy to the next two editions of national team football tournament the Uefa European Under-21 Championship.
Rai’s deal with European football’s governing body Uefa covers this year’s edition of the championship, which will be staged in Poland from June 16-30, along with the 2019 tournament, which will be hosted by Italy.
Rai will broadcast all 21 games from this year’s competition, with Italy’s matches to be televised by Rai 1.
Italy has been drawn alongside Denmark, Germany and the Czech Republic in Group C and will commence its campaign against the Danes on June 18.
