The RDA and Zeus Sports Marketing agencies have been appointed to oversee the global media-rights sales for Tie Break Tens, the short-form tennis series.
The agencies have signed a two-year agreement with the series, with initial deals in place for Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan, sub-Saharan Africa, Eastern Europe and the Caribbean.
The deal has been signed ahead of the opening Tie Break Tens event of 2018, which will take place in the Australian city of Melbourne on January 10. The event will feature 16-time grand slam champion Rafael Nadal, 12-time grand slam champion Novak Djokovic and Australia’s Nick Kyrgios (pictured).
Tie Break Tens matches consist solely of tie breaks. The winner of the Melbourne event will receive $250,000 (€208,000) in prize money. At least one participant in the tournament will be a wild card player.
The series first launched in 2015 when Kyle Edmund beat fellow Brit Andy Murray at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Since then, two further tournaments have taken place in Madrid and Vienna, with the likes of Dominic Thiem, Stan Wawrinka, Jo Wilfried Tsonga, Grigor Dimitrov, Maria Sharapova, Simona Halep and Johanna Konta having competed.
