German commercial broadcaster RTL is close to sealing an extension to a rights deal for the Formula One motor-racing world championship.
A report on the Sponsors.de website said that RTL is set to strike a new three-year deal with Formula One Management, from 2016 to 2018.
“Nothing is signed yet, but we are still in talks,” RTL sports director Manfred Loppe said.
