The local organising committee of the 2013 World Games multi-sport event has awarded host broadcast rights to Colombian public-service broadcaster RTVC.
The broadcaster will provide daily high-definition coverage of sports competitions during the 11-day event, which is being hosted in the Colombian city of Cali, in addition to two daily summaries of the competitions and results.
RTVC will provide 62 hours of coverage of the World Games in addition to the opening and closing ceremonies.
RTVC will be supported by Colombian sports agency Coldeportes, as well as national television authority Autoridad Nacional De Television (ANTV) and regional public-service broadcaster Telepacífico.
The World Games is an international multi-sport event that features sports, as well as disciplines or events within a certain sport, which are not contested in the Olympic Games. This year's event will take place in Cali from July 25 to August 6.
The international broadcasting rights for the event are being marketed by the UFA Sports agency.
