Uefa, European football’s governing body, agreed a deal in Slovakia with public-service broadcaster RTVS for exclusive rights to the Euro 2012 football tournament.
RTVS will broadcast all but four of the 31 matches of the tournament live, with four overlapping final matches from the group stage being shown delayed. The public-service broadcaster will also show magazine and daily highlights programming. The deal also includes mobile, internet and radio rights.
The agreement was brokered by Mediator Servicing, an independent subsidiary of the European Broadcasting Union which acts as Uefa’s exclusive agent for marketing Euro 2012 media rights in Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Hungary, Israel, Kazakhstan, Portugal and Slovakia.
