Turkish Super Lig top-tier football club Beşiktaş has extended a rights deal with the Saran Media agency.
The worldwide agreement, excluding Turkey, includes audiovisual rights for the club’s qualifying matches for the Uefa Champions League and Europa League tournaments, as well as friendly games.
The extended deal is worth a total of $5m over five years, from 2013-14 to 2017-18, or $1m per year. The contract has been back-dated to include the 2013-14 season, during which Saran also worked with Besiktas.
Under the agreement, Saran will also be responsible for selling stadium advertising rights for the club’s domestic league and European home matches that are not covered by a centralised commercial arrangement with football’s European governing body Uefa.
