The IMG agency will launch its Serie A Pass OTT subscription service in Latin America tomorrow (Saturday).
The service will be the exclusive home of Serie A coverage in Latin America from the start of the season tomorrow, with no other broadcaster having secured a rights deal with IMG for the top division of Italian football, according to Brazilian sports newspaper Lance!.
For the past three seasons, Fox Sports has shown Serie A in Latin America. However, IMG co-president Ioris Francini said that the broadcaster had not submitted a bid for this season, the report added.
IMG Media, which is Serie A’s primary international rights-holder for three seasons, from 2018-19 to 2020-21, announced earlier this month that it would be launching Serie A Pass in a number of territories worldwide.
In Latin America, Serie A Pass will be available in 21 countries and will show live coverage, replays, magazine programming and archive footage. This season, IMG will launch three new magazine shows – Inside Serie A, Serie A – Full Impact and The Serie A Highlights Show.
The service will be available on desktop, tablet and mobile devices, as well as via applications on IOS and Android devices.
The service will be priced at $8.99 (€8) per month or $59.99 per year.
