Pay-television broadcaster Setanta Sports has secured the rights to two Ireland international friendly football matches, according to the Irish Independent newspaper.
Setanta will broadcast Ireland’s match against England at Wembley Stadium tomorrow, as well as the game against Spain in New York on June 11.
Public-service broadcaster RTE had been interested in acquiring the rights to the England game, but was unable to agree a deal.
An RTE spokesperson said: “We did look to secure the rights but we were outbid.”
