Australian commercial broadcaster Seven has secured the rights to the Australian PGA Championship golf tournament under a multi-year deal commencing with the 2014 event.
Taking place on Queensland’s Gold Coast on December 11-14, US Masters champion and Australia’s current world No.2 Adam Scott is set to this year defend the title he won at the RACV Royal Pines resort in 2013. Seven is slated to broadcast five hours per-day from the competition.
The agreement broadens Seven’s Australian golf portfolio, which already includes the Australian Open, Australian Masters and Perth International events.
Later this month, Seven will carry free-to-air coverage of Scott’s US Masters defence at Augusta National.
