French commercial broadcaster TF1 has elected to sublicense its rights for the 2017 Fifa Confederations Cup national team football tournament to pay-television broadcaster SFR Sport, according to L’Équipe.
The French newspaper said SFR Sport will broadcast the traditional warm-up event for the World Cup in full from June 17 to July 2.
SFR Sport will show all 16 games with TF1 retaining rights to eight matches. TF1's matches will be broadcast free-to-air, as during the 2013 Confederations Cup, via its TMC channel.
The opening game of the 2017 Confederations Cup will see host nation Russia take on New Zealand in Saint Petersburg.
