Sky opens up access to Premier League clips

UK pay-television broadcaster Sky has introduced a new, free service to make highlights clips of English Premier League football on its mobile application more widely accessible.

Video clips on the Sky Sports Football Score Centre app will now be freely accessible in any pub that is fitted with Sky Sports Wi-Fi.

The app gives fans access to in-game clips and goals for all televised Premier League games plus key highlights and goals for all other Premier League matches. All the goals and key highlights from Saturday 3pm fixtures are available from 5.15pm.

Previously, only Sky Sports residential subscribers could access the Premier League goal clips and key highlights that the Football Score Centre app offers before 10pm on a matchday. This content will now be available to everyone in Sky Sports WiFi pubs.

To enable customers to utilise the service, pubs must have a Sky Sports subscription and Sky’s free Wi-Fi powered by The Cloud system installed.

In July 2015, Sky further strengthened its content portfolio for the Premier League by securing a three-season deal, from 2016-17 to 2018-19, for the league's video clips rights.
