Indian pay-television broadcaster Sony Pictures Television is partnering with restaurant operator Impresario Entertainment and Hospitality to create live viewing experiences for cricket fans during the upcoming Australia tour of South Africa.

Sony has the exclusive media rights in India for the tour under a deal with Cricket South Africa. The tour runs from February 21 until March 7, and comprises three T20 internationals and three one-day internationals.

Impresario has been appointed Sony’s ‘On-Ground Screening Partner’ for the series. The six matches will be shown live at 25 branches of Impresario’s Social restaurant chain, in New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chandigarh and Bengaluru. Cricket bats signed by the Australia team will be showcased at three of the restaurants, and fans will be invited to share pictures from the event on social media.
