Sport 24, the live sports channel produced and distributed by the IMG Media agency exclusively for the in-flight and in-ship markets, has acquired rights for ATP World Tour men’s tennis tournaments.
The deal with ATP Media, the media arm of the tour, will run for three years, from 2013 to 2015.
The agreement includes rights to the tour’s top-tier Masters 1,000 series and the end-of-year World Tour Finals.
Richard Wise, senior vice-president of IMG Media, said: “We now have a fantastic offering for tennis enthusiasts travelling the skies and seas around the world. We have already shown the Australian Open from Melbourne and will broadcast the entire ATP Masters 1,000 series, which attracts the top men in the game and takes in great locations from Asia, Europe and North America, culminating in the ATP World Tour Finals at London’s O2 Arena in November.”
