Italian DTT sports broadcaster Sportitalia has acquired rights to the 2016 season of Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A, the top division of Brazilian club football.
The calcioefinanza.it website said the agreement represents a return to international rights for Sportitalia, which previously said it would concentrate on broadcasting domestic sport.
Sportitalia will open its coverage of the 2016 Serie A campaign by broadcasting live the opening day’s games between Palmeiras and Atletico Paranaense, along with Atletico Mineiro against Santos, on May 14.
