Sports ministers repeat calls to ban Russian, Belarussian athletes and suspend broadcasts

Western countries have reiterated calls for international sports federations to suspend Russian and Belarusian athletes from competing in their events amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

A statement signed by sports ministers from several European countries, as well as the US, Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea and New Zealand, has urged sports organisations to consider suspending the broadcasting of competitions into Russia and Belarus.
