Sportsfix, a new OTT service for Southeast Asia, has acquired rights for the Chinese Super League football competition in Malaysia.
Sportsfix will offer live coverage of the league through its Sportsfix.tv platform to mobile devices. The length of the deal was not disclosed.
The coverage will kick off with live coverage of the match between Shanghai SIPG and Guangzhou Evergrande tomorrow (Saturday).
Last year, the IMG agency agreed a rights distribution deal with China Sports Marketing, the league’s global rights-holder, covering the 2016 and 2017 seasons. The deal included an option to extend the agreement by three years, from 2018 to 2020.
