Canadian pay-television broadcaster Rogers Sportsnet renewed it rights deal with Uefa, European football’s governing body, for the Europa League, for the three years from 2012-13 to 2014-15.
The deal follows Sportsnet’s renewal of Champions League rights for the same three-year period last month and concludes the sales of Uefa’s club competition rights in the Americas for the next cycle.
Sportsnet will show live coverage of two Europa League matches per match night across its Sportsnet One and Sportsnet World channels, and a weekly highlights programme. Mobile and internet rights were included in the package.
The Team Marketing agency brokered the deal.
