Welsh independent media producer and distributor Tinopolis, which owns UK sports production and media company Sunset+Vine, is in takeover talks, according to the Guardian newspaper.
Tinopolis is said to have held talks with MSD Capital, the venture capital firm chaired by computer entrepreneur Michael Dell, and Canadian film and television company Entertainment One.
The Guardian said MSD Capital, which was formed to manage Dell’s capital, held serious talks last year which resulted in an offer for Tinopolis which was rejected.
The newspaper added that with Tinopolis making more than £25m (€31.4m/$41.5m) in profits the company could be worth between £250m and £300m.
