SuperSport, the pay-television broadcaster that operates in Sub-Saharan Africa, has sealed a renewed five-year deal for the exclusive media rights to the Superbike World Championship motorcycling series in the region.
The agreement with the series' commercial rights holder, Dorna WSBK, runs from 2015 to 2019 and covers both television broadcasts and digital platforms.
SuperSport will show qualifying sessions from the Supersport World Championship support series for the first time, along with dedicated pre-race programming.
Manel Arroyo, managing director of the Dorna Sports agency, said: “We are particularly pleased that sub-Saharan African fans now have the chance to watch more in depth both World Superbike and World Supersport live coverage and dedicated contents.”
The 2015 Superbike World Championship begins in Australia on February 20-22.
