SuperSport, the pay-television broadcaster in Sub-Saharan Africa, has retained rights for Serie A, Italy’s top football division, for three seasons, from 2012-13 to 2014-15.
SuperSport said that the rights, covering Sub-Saharan Africa, had been purchased on an exclusive basis and can be exploited across all media platforms.
“We are thrilled to have secured this arrangement,” Brandon Foot, SuperSport’s head of acquisitions, said. “Being long-term, we can now promote and elevate the product to the level it deserves.”
