The European Broadcasting Union has retained rights to Swiss-Ski events after a dispute that also involved the Infront Sports & Media agency was resolved, according to the umbrella body for public-service broadcasters.
The rights cover six seasons of Swiss-Ski action, from 2016-17 to 2021-22.
An arrangement was reached following dispute resolution negotiations, the EBU added.
Stefan Kürten, director of Eurovision services and sports rights at the EBU, said that the result is a “win-win situation for all of us.”
He added: “We are pleased to have now put this dispute behind us, allowing us to continue the relationship of the companies based on mutual trust and good faith.”
Bruno Marty, Infront’s executive director of winter sports, said: “We are happy to have mutually agreed on a solution for 2016 to 2022, thereby ensuring a smooth start into the coming season.”
