The Table Tennis Bundesliga (TTBL) club competition has extended its media partnership with the DOSB New Media arm of the German Olympic Committee (DOSB).
The new three-year deal will run until the end of the 2017-18 season and will result in the TTBL continuing to enjoy its own channel on the DOSB’s online sports television platform, Sportdeutschland.TV.
Under the agreement, the TTBL channel will offer a complete high-definition feed from the 2015-16 season, which commences on Saturday.
German media company ProSiebenSat.1 last month completed its acquisition of a majority stake in DOSB New Media through its 7NXT subsidiary.
Under the agreement, 7NXT will hold 57.5 per cent of the shares in DOSB New Media, while 27.5 per cent will remain under the control of the DOSB. As part of the transaction, the GIP Media Productions company has also accepted a stake in DOSB New Media.
