Spanish commercial broadcaster Telecinco has acquired rights to pre-season club football competition the International Champions Cup.
The Vertele.com website said Telecinco will broadcast all of Real Madrid’s games in the tournament, which is hosted in the US and Canada from July 24 to August 4.
Real is the only Spanish Liga team to compete in the 2014 ICC and is scheduled to face Italian Serie A clubs Inter Milan and AS Roma on July 24 and July 29 before concluding its group games against English Premier League club Manchester United on August 2.
Telecinco will also broadcast the ICC final on August 4 if Real progresses, otherwise the game, along with other matches not featuring the Madrid giant, will be televised by digital-terrestrial channel Energy.
EPL champion Manchester City, Liverpool, Serie A’s AC Milan and Greek Superleague champion Olympiacos will also compete in the ICC. Real is the reigning champion of the annual tournament.
