Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it will commence from the 2016-17 season and will complement Teleclub’s coverage of pan-European ice hockey tournament the Champions Hockey League.
Teleclub will broadcast up to four live games per week from the NHL regular season, along with the playoff encounters.
In other news, Teleclub has expressed its “regret” that it will not continue to cover top-tier club football competition the Spanish LaLiga.
The 2016-17 LaLiga season kicked off at the weekend but Teleclub said it could not extend its rights deal despite “long and intense” negotiations. However, it will continue to broadcast cup competitions the Copa del Rey and Supercopa de España.
