Telstra agrees A$50m deal for majority ownership of IPTV provider Fetch TV

Australian telecoms operator Telstra has reached an agreement to acquire a 51-per-cent stake in IPTV provider Fetch TV for A$50m ($35.4m/€33.8m) as part of plans to improve its underlying technology.

Telstra said its content aggregation platform, Telstra TV, will be progressively migrated to Fetch's own aggregation platform once the deal is approved by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
