US pay-television broadcaster Tennis Channel agreed an exclusive rights deal for the Volvo Car Open women’s tournament.
The eight-year deal will run from the 2017 event until 2024.
Tennis Channel will broadcast live coverage of matches on its primary channel and the Tennis Channel Plus digital subscription service. Subscribers can also access coverage on-demand.
For the 2017 tournament, Tennis Channel will dedicate more than 130 hours of television coverage, as well as 360 hours of live streaming and a live daily lead-in show.
The 2017 Volvo Car Open takes place from April 3-9 at the Family Circle Tennis Center in Charleston, South Carolina, in the US. Sloane Stephens (pictured) of the US won the singles event at this year's tournament.
