Canadian cable-television sports channel The Score acquired exclusive rights for Fifa’s Club World Cup in a one-tournament deal for the 2011 edition, which kicks off tomorrow in Japan.
The Score will show live coverage of the semi-finals and final. The deal also includes internet rights.
Brazilian club Santos, the current Copa Libertadores champion, faces Japanese club Kashiwa Reysol, present as representatives of the host nation, in the first semi-final. European champion Barcelona plays Qatari club Al-Sadd Sports Club, winner of the Asian Champions League, in the other semi-final.
