Tough Mudder seals content partnership with Sky

Active lifestyle and endurance events company Tough Mudder has agreed a video content partnership with UK pay-television broadcaster Sky.

The deal, the length of which was not disclosed, begins with programming this month on the Sky Sports Mix channel.

Sky Sports Mix will air a multi-episode series focusing on last year’s World’s Toughest Mudder event. The preview show, Road to World’s Toughest Mudder, will air on January 24 at 8pm, with the premier airing on January 26 at 8.30pm. The World’s Toughest Aftershow programme will air directly after at 9.30pm.

A six-part series featuring five short digital episodes and a one-hour special will also air later in the year. The series will focus on three 'everyday heroes' and their personal journeys as they aim to complete a Tough Mudder event.

In addition, Sky and Tough Mudder will work together to create an original content television series specifically designed for the UK audience. The series will focus on UK athletes and their event experience.

Short-form Tough Mudder content will also be showcased via the Sky Sports app, on skysports.com and across Sky’s social media channels.
