The 2013 Tour of Britain will be broadcast in the UK on both free-to-air digital channel ITV4 and British Eurosport, the UK arm of pan-regional broadcaster Eurosport, organisers of the cycling race have confirmed.
The 10th anniversary edition of the event will appear on both channels for the first time this September, with ITV4 having shown the 2012 Tour of Britain.
In addition to live coverage, ITV4 will produce a daily highlights programme. Similarly, British Eurosport will have the best of each day’s action every evening.
Details of coverage times for all broadcasts will be confirmed closer to the start of the race, which runs from September 15-22.
In 2012, the Tour of Britain was shown in 124 countries worldwide and details of increased international distribution for this year are set to be announced in late August.
