Turkish telecommunications company Turkcell has acquired rights to club football’s English Premier League.
Under the three-season deal, which covers the 2016-17 to 2018-19 Premier League campaigns, Turkcell will offer games through IPTV and mobile devices via its Turkcell TV Plus platform.
Turkcell has sublicensed the rights from the Saran Media agency, which renewed its deal for Premier League broadcast rights in January.
Saran has served as the league’s Turkish rights-holder for the past four cycles. It sublicensed the rights to pay-television operator Digiturk in the previous cycle, from 2013-14 to 2015-16.
