Polish public-service broadcaster TVP has agreed a five-year deal for the rights to cycling’s Tour de Pologne, Poland’s annual race on the UCI WorldTour calendar.
TVP will broadcast the Tour de Pologne for the next five years and has plans to introduce additional cycling content.
Bogusław Piwowar, a TVP board member, said: “We're talking now about a TV program that would promote cycling in the dimension of recreational cycling. I think that in the spring of next year, the programme will appear on air.”
The 2014 Tour de Pologne was run from August 3-9. It was won by Polish rider Rafal Majka for Team Tinkoff-Saxo.
