Pay-television sports broadcaster Universal Sports Network has acquired rights in the US and Canada for the inaugural 2015 European Games multi-sport event in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Universal Sports Network will broadcast live coverage of the Games to audiences in North America via its linear television channel and the UniversalSports.com online platform.
Coverage will include live daily broadcasts of the Games as well as the opening and closing ceremonies.
Following the deal, coverage of the Games will be shown in 50 countries worldwide.
The European Games will run from June 12-28 and comprise 16 Olympic and four non-Olympic sports.
