Pan-regional pay-television broadcaster GolTV has agreed a two-year deal with the Venezuelan Football Federation (FVF) for rights to the Primera División, the top division of domestic football.
The agreement is set to run across the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons and grants GolTV national and international rights to the Primera División.
GolTV is set to sublicense rights to the league to local broadcasters in Venezuela.
George Antar, president of the Venezuelan Association of Football Clubs (ACFUTVE), said: “This is a historic event for national football. We have worked hard for more than a year to achieve this.”
