LaLiga, the operator of the Spanish Football League, has sealed a carriage deal with telecommunications company Vodafone for its LaLiga 1|2|3 TV channel, which provides live coverage of matches in the country’s Segunda División second tier.
The deal will run for three seasons, from 2016-17 to 2018-19.
Under the non-exclusive agreement, Vodafone will show 10 games live and another on a delayed basis on every match day.
Earlier this week, LaLiga unveiled carriage deals for the channel with rival telcos Orange and Telecable for the same three-year period.
In July, the Segunda División was rebranded as LaLiga 1|2|3 as part of a new title sponsorship deal between LaLiga and banking group Santander.
In other news, Vodafone has launched a new service called Vodafone One Restauración for bars and restaurants. The package will provide coverage of the Spanish second tier and the top-tier Liga, as well as other pay-television channels from the Vodafone TV suite, including pan-European sports broadcaster Eurosport.
