Media group Discovery plans to combine its subscription streaming service, discovery+, with WarnerMedia’s HBO Max, once its planned merger with the AT&T-owned entity completes.
Discovery chief financial officer, Gunnar Wiedenfels, made the announcement yesterday (Monday) at the Deutsche Bank 30th Annual Media, Internet & Telecom Conference in Palm Beach, Florida. Wiedenfels’ comments represent the first word on how discovery+ and HBO Max will look, moving forward.
