Cricket West Indies has appointed independent production company Whisper Films as host broadcaster for the West Indies v Ireland series in January.
The contract covers broadcast production of three one-day internationals and three Twenty20 matches, taking place from January 7 to 19.
Whisper said its coverage will be led by Rob Williams, who produced the 2019 Cricket World Cup final and recently joined Whisper as a senior producer.
As part of the deal, Whisper will also produce digital and multi-platform content for Cricket West Indies.
The company said it intends to work with local Caribbean production talent on the projects.
Whisper is one of a number of companies involved in Cricket West Indies’ ongoing tender process for the long-term broadcast production of West Indies international cricket matches.
The CWC deal follows reports Whisper has won the contract to produce England international cricket highlights for UK public broadcaster the BBC until the end of 2021.
Whisper has also reportedly renewed its Formula 1 production contract in the UK with commercial broadcaster Channel 4.
