UK commercial broadcaster Channel 4 has acquired rights to the World Rallycross Championship (World RX) motor-racing series.
Channel 4 will broadcast an hour-long highlights programme after each round of the competition.
Coverage will be available on the main Channel 4 television platform, as well as via the broadcaster’s All4 on-demand service.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Paul Bellamy, managing director of World RX, said: “With its large audience reach and multiple viewing platforms, we see this agreement with Channel 4 as an excellent opportunity for World RX to further broaden its growing fan base.”
The deal comes after World RX last month also brokered a rights agreement with UK free-to-air digital television channel FreeSports for the 2018 season.
